About MPRS
In 1979, my family fled from civil war in Vietnam and made their way to Hong Kong. From there, The British Red Cross helped us safely relocate to the UK.
Grateful for their support, I was inspired to give back. In 2007, I ran my first marathon in aid of the Red Cross and then 35 more in the 16 years that followed.
In 2013, I took my fitness journey to the next level. I left my corporate banking job and relocated to York to start my fitness business. What began as a club for runners has become a thriving personal training and coaching company, transforming the lives of hundreds of people from all walks of life (from complete beginners all the way up to Olympians) from York and all over the world.
At MPRS, I’m passionate about helping people believe in themselves. My mission is to help others improve their physical, mental and emotional health, so they can achieve the body, confidence and life they’ve always dreamed of.

Do I need to be fit to join?
No, not at all. Our clients range from absolute beginners to ninja levels of fit. They’re all ages, genders, shapes, and sizes. We’ll welcome you with open arms no matter where you are on your journey. You’ll see how life-changing, enjoyable, and empowering personal training can be.
Nothing has worked in the past for me; how are your methods different?
Many of our clients come to us with the same worry. Our signature 4-step system ensures we leave no stone unturned in helping you shift excess weight, improve your fitness and feel comfortable in your favourite clothes. We focus on movement, nutrition, strength, and mindset, helping hundreds of people in York achieve the lean, strong and defined bodies they never thought they could achieve.
I’m new to exercise, are your classes suitable for me?
Of course. All of our sessions work for everyone, whether you’re a newbie or, experienced, allowing you to work at your own pace. Of course, we’ll push you, but only when you’re ready.

Is there parking available?
Yes, we’ve got parking directly outside our locations and lots of parking close by, so you haven’t got to mess around with tickets, parking discs, or walking miles from another car park.
How much does your personal training cost?
We have a few packages to choose from. We’ve got a 6-week transformation and running packages. Plus, our morning warrior sessions. The best thing to do is book a consultation, and we’ll work together to craft the right package for you.
How can I pay?
All of our members sign up on a direct debit which is automatically debited from your account monthly. No need to remember cash for every session!
Are there showers?
Unfortunately not. Because we use community halls or train outdoors there isn’t a shower facility nearby.
Are the classes male or female only?
Our classes are a mix of both genders.
