FAQs

Is this a gym?

No - we set ourselves up specifically for people who don't get on with the gym environment, are intimidated by the people that go, or who are just not happy with the results they got.  We help you to exercise and train in a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, far away from the skinny minnies, incessant doom scrollers, grunters and people who think they own the place.

What is small group training?

It's where you're training in groups of no bigger than 6 people at a time.  It's way more private, you get unmatched attention and we've found you can get results that are better than 1:1, but without the associated cost of 1:1 PT.

What is large group training?

It's where you're training in groups of up to 16 people at a time.  It's big enough to be a great experience for you, but small enough to still get unmatched attention and we've found you can still get results that are better than 1:1, but without the associated cost of 1:1 PT.

Do I need to be fit to join?

No, not at all. Our clients range from absolute beginners to ninja levels of fit. They’re all ages, genders, shapes, and sizes. We'll welcome you with open arms no matter where you are on your journey. You’ll see how life-changing, enjoyable, and empowering group personal training can be.

Nothing has worked in the past for me; how are your methods different?

Many of our clients come to us with the same worry. Our signature Kickstarter system ensures we leave no stone unturned in helping you become Stronger, Fitter and more Confident WHILST also helping you shift excess weight, improve your motivation and energy levels and feel comfortable in yourself and your clothes. We focus on exercise, nutrition and accountability, having already helped hundreds of people in York achieve levels of strength, fitness and confidence they thought were now past them!

I’m new to exercise, are your classes suitable for me?

Of course. All of our sessions work for everyone, whether you’re a newbie or, experienced, allowing you to work at your own pace. Of course, we’ll push you, but only when you’re ready.

I’m not sure how to begin.

How is this different from a bootcamp?

Well, for a start it's the size of the groups that is different.  You won't be in a group of people so big, that the trainer a) doesn't know your name; and b) can't possibly correct everyone's form and generally be on hand to help everyone at a 1:1 level.  

Secondly, we structure our Kickstarter on 3 key components (most bootcamps only touch on 1-2 at most):  Exercise, Nutrition and Accountability.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we’ve got parking directly outside our locations and lots of parking close by, so you haven’t got to mess around with tickets, parking discs, or walking miles from another car park.

How much does this all cost?

We have a few packages to choose from. We’ve got a 6-week transformation and running coaching packages. The best thing to do is book a consultation (your FREE Transformation Clarity Call), and we’ll work together to craft the right package for you.

PLEASE NOTE: If you're shopping purely on price, we're probably not going to be for you as we believe you get what you pay for nowadays.  However, if you're shopping on certainty that it will work for you, then we should talk.  We believe in our methods so much that we are even willing to put a guarantee on it.

OK, I'm ready to start - How can I pay?

All of our members sign up on a direct debit/stripe payment which is automatically debited from your account monthly. No need to remember cash for every session!

Are there showers?

Unfortunately not. Because we use community halls or train outdoors there isn’t a shower facility nearby.

Are the classes male or female only?

Our classes are a mix of both genders.
